Kacper Szulecki

Research professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, and a fellow at the Include research center for socially inclusive energy transitions, University of Oslo. Columnist and editor at Kultura Liberalna.

He previously worked at the Department of Political Science, University of Oslo, the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, EUI Florence, the Hertie School of Governance, DIW Berlin and the University of Konstanz. His research focuses on energy security, democracy and the politics of energy transitions, climate governance and protest movements. He is the author of ‘Dissidents in Communist Central Europe’ (Palgrave 2019) and ‘The Chernobyl Effect’ (Berghahn, 2022), and editor of ‘Cracking Borders, Rising Walls’ (Kultura Liberalna 2015), and ‘Energy Security in Europe’ (Palgrave 2017).
